Notes |
This cultivar has played an important role in the Ionian Islands, especially on Zakynthos, where in past times it was the main component in Lianoroïdi (or Lianorrógi), a sweet wine highly regarded by European visitors up until the nineteenth century. It also plays a dominant role in Verdea, a style of wine that survives on the Ionian Islands to the present day. | ||
