Amerikus is a new company specializing
in top caliber wines and spirits from Greece and Cyprus. Before setting out on his
own, the company's founding partner and CEO Konstantine Drougos spent many years
managing Greek portfolios in New York's competitive market. The decision to embark
on his new venture was made after witnessing the difference in strategies between
the marketing of Greek wines and wines of other regions. Aware that proven strategies
were simply not being employed in Greek wine distribution, he is determined to apply
effective models in order to participate in the rescue of Greece's declining volume
in the American market.
An MPA, Drougos has a B.S. in Business and Computer Science. He has been associated
with the Greek food and wine industry since 1988, both in sales and distribution.
His background includes sales management experience for major beverage importers
with national clientele winning many company awards for increasing territorial sales
and placements. In addition to hosting a Greek radio show about food, he has been
a consultant to many restaurants regarding menus and wine lists. He is considered
an authority on Greek food and wine.

Former Division President of Beatrice Foods Co., he oversees human resources, financial
affairs, cost reduction programs and budgeting.
Costas Tsingas, Vice President - Marketing Director, President - UZOLAB
One of the world’s Greek culinary authorities--he was recently named Executive Chef
of the Athens 2004 Olympics--Mr. Tsingas is in charge of brand positioning, opening
new markets, and creating new product ideas.
Peter Galifianakis, Vice President Innovation
He oversees beverage product innovation and marketing. He is in charge of artistic
design and communications and is head of the Amerikus Think Tank.
Nicholas Georgantzas, Ph.D. - Senior Consultant, Strategic Scenarios Inc.
Dr. Georgantzas is Amerikus management consultant for corporate, business and operations
strategy design and articulation. He also serves on Amerikus BOD as an advisor.
John Perry, Regional Vice President
In charge of formulating sales strategies for Amerikus distributors in the Northeast.
he has over 20 years of experience in the wine and spirits business.
